At Quivira Vineyards, our approach to farming and winemaking is rooted in a deep respect for the land. For our General Manager, Steve Domenichelli, this means growing wine in a way that nurtures the land and maintains a symbiotic relationship with it. Steve, who brings over thirty years of experience in vineyard care, wine production, and land stewardship, believes in listening to the land and taking only what’s needed—not more. His family’s farming background, which dates back to 1906 in Northern California, reflects his dedication to land first. At Quivira, we don’t take more than we give, and our commitment is to farm in harmony with the land, ensuring that future generations can continue to care for and grow from it.

Our vineyard is a place where sustainability and winemaking work hand in hand. We’ve dedicated ourselves to preserving Wine Creek, which now serves as a vital spawning habitat for Coho salmon and Steelhead trout, and we prioritize biodiversity throughout the estate. Our gardens, which include over 100 raised beds of heritage produce and spaces for wildlife, invite guests to explore the intersection of land, food, and wine.
