Quivira Winemaker Hugh Chappelle will join local winemakers at a special Rhône tasting at Gravenstein Grill where he will pour a selection of Quivira’s Rhône varietals for guests to taste and enjoy:
The “Rhône Rangers” helped popularize Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier & the plethora of other grapes traditionally grown in Rhône right here in California. Since their work began in the 80s & 90s, Rhône-inspired blends have exploded in the USA, and are now more popular than ever.
Come and join us for a celebration of this incredibly exciting segment of our regional wine industry, featuring more than 20 wineries including: Quivira, Capo Creek, Cochon, Jeff Cohn, Cline (one of the original Rhône Rangers), Meadowcroft, Kobler Estate, Emmitt-Scorsone & more.
There will also be passed appetizers featuring locally sourced meat & produce by Chefs Simontacchi & Colunga, and live music by Jay Messer!
